I bought a 1995 N ford Fiesta Sapphire 2nd hand.

It came with a red "master" and a black "slave. After a few weeks the black key started to play up and would only turn ignition on after repeated attempts and eventually died and will now only open the doors and boot.

This system is supposed to be maitenance free, any ideas what would cause this?

Thanks
