Ford Ranger

i am thinking of getting a ford ranger, i aint into the fashion wagons (L200) but i like the look of these motors, as a work horse, are they any good?

We've got a 51-plate Ranger at work, and it's been thrashed all over the country, with relatively few problems, although the steering is a bit heavy in tight spaces. The major thing I've noticed on long motorway trips is that it is very thirsty, but if you only plan to do local trips then this won't be such an issue.
