Brakes are normally red same as oil warning light

Um you might need to tell us what car it is.

Ooops sorry its a 2nd gen Fiat Punto!
Sounds like a fluid level somewhere if it mainly happens when going downhill. I thing the amber light on my car is for the ABS

It looks like a lightbulb with spokes coming from it! I cant find it in the manual and i've done a google search with no luck! :o(
Phone a Fiat dealer if you get no joy here. I'm sure theyll be glad to help

Engine management then - if it's the ABS light, it should have ABS in a circle (if I remember correctly).

Before you ask what that could indicate, it could be anything - Fiat will have to diagnose it on their machines

Hi Caz, I have a feeling that it could very well be that the fluid level in your windscreen wash is low. Simple remedy, just top it up, and see if the light stays out.

Hope that is it :-)

That's a good point - I used to have that in my BMW - used to be a bitch on long journeys coming on every five seconds!
