Please could somebone advise me on what to do?

This morning i was reversing out of a car parking bay, At the same time the person behind was reversing, We collided in the middle. He isn't accepting any responsibility for the collision and said it was completely my fault as he had stopped and i went into him. I wouldn't accept full responsibility as i feel we were both to blame.

The other driver now wants me to pay for all the damage.

Where do i stand with this?

Well If he had stopped then it is your fault. If you just hit each other then it'll probably be a "Knock for knock" situation where you are both responsible for your own damage.
Those things on the side of your car are called wing mirrors. Handy for reversing.
call your insurers. Sounds like he is going to be a complte idiot about it.
...let them deal with him
how much damage was there?
Question Author
The damage was minor, A scratch on my bumper and the rear light smashed on his.
argue it wasnt completely your fault till the end, like someone said tell your insurance co and they will say both to blame
I agree, let the insurance company sort it out .. at the end of the day its a no claim bonus not a no blame bonus ....
No, you had stopped and he drove into you........end of story.

I got a phone call last night from the other driver and he is now accepting half the responsibility.

Thanks for all your help
