As I'm stuck on an incline, it is possible to pust start it in reverse?

Just stick it in reverse gear? And I can roll down the hill instead of getting another to push it?!

Yes as long as its not auto. You will have to get up a good bit of speed though, its the same as push starting forward in first gear.
As an afterthought it may be easier if you can call on a friend with jump leads but make sure you keep your foot on the clutch when you try to start if its stuck in gear.

If you do get it going where are you going to drive to stuck in reverse?
I had a simiar problem but going forward. It worked but make sure you dont run out of hill or your really are ******.
dillgaf if you keep your foot on the clutch then it will never start either backwards or forwards.
dilligaf it,s not stuck in reverse either!
Sorry about stuck in reverse, mis read the question.

Gef. I was talking about foot on the clutch when starting with jump leads which makes sense if I hadn't mis read it in the first place.
Yes you can start it in reverse, Leave the car on ignition and hold the clutch pedal down with car in reverse, as soon as the car is rolling at a stready speed, lift up the clutch and the car should start.. i tried it few times, works well but be careful as if you clutch is weak, it might damage it.. hope this helps
Yes - same way as going forward - lowest ratio gear though, so it will jolt a bit.
