scratched windscreen

my beloved car has had its windscreen scratched by some hoodlums but not to bad is there anything to buy to repair this or am i gonna have to fork alot of money getting someone to repair this problem thanks

Have a word with your local windscreen fitter.

If the scratches are not too deep they will be able to polish them out for you. Screens now can often be repaired rather than replaced. Many insurance companies will arrange repair rather than replacement, often free of charge..

If you have comprehensive insurance and the scratch is bad enough such that the windscreen is not 'acceptable' (it would be an MOT failure), then your insurer will pay for a replacement. You will have to pay the first �60 usually though, and no loss of NCD.
