I parked at a national beauty spot. I paid using coins. On the ticket there was no time, just saying you have paid for one hour. We were there for 45 minutes. When we returned home about 4 weeks later. There was a parking fine with pictures of me entering and leaving, after 45 minutes. But they are saying I didn’t pay. I know I did pay. I know I put the correct car reg number in correctly. But before our return my wife cleaned out the car and threw away parking tickets etc with the rest of the rubbish. So I can’t prove I paid but I know I did. Should the ticket machine still have the information. Also is it up to me to prove I’ve paid or is it up to the company to prove I haven’t? I’m 70 yrs old worked in a high security business for over 25 yrs before retiring and I always pay my debts. What should I do ?

If you are on Facebook or know someone who does have a look at….fight your private parking invoice … good advice given on there
Don't pay. Take the court option and take your wife as a witness. Tell exactly what you did as you have here. Any sensible magistrate will dismiss the charge.
