i had my fan switch burn out and also the wiring connector.i have replaced the switch and connector but it now only blows cold air,and the fan switch blows on 1 speed only.any ideas

Most car fans rely on a big resistor to give the slower speeds - they use up some of the power there. Usually they're in the engine bay as they get quite hot in use, and this is the first thing to check on the speeds front.

As for the cold air, it depends on the car - it shouldn't be anything to do with it, but if your car has a complex setup it might be electronically controlled and faulty, or it could be coincidence and because of low water level or a dodgy heater matrix.
