TWR the statistics say that 1 in 3 of new drivers under 20 will have an insurance claim accident in the first year of driving. That is why young drivers insurance is so high!

But surely any driver regardless of age after pasting their test is inexperienced and therefore at risk of an accident.
Or
Do you suddenly become experienced in activities because your over 40?

Really Zacs you want to see some of the drivers over here - some old git cut me up just today and nearly caused a crash and he was over 60!

Decades since I did mine, but I do recall thinking that the driving lessons that I took came nowhere close to teaching me how to actually drive - they just taught me how to pass the driving test. I recall what a daunting prospect it was the first time I ventured alone onto the M1, as motorway driving played no part in my driving lessons.

Over here we have restricted drivers for the first year following their test - not allowed to driver over 45!
