Hi Folks My Son's Car Was Classed As A Class C Write Off, It Has A Private Plate

He now has new car how do I go about changing the plate over, tried online but the write off had been in motor trade before and won't let me ? someone point me in the right direction please? thank you

Have you registered it as written off with the DVLA?

Shouldn't be a problem says Mr J2 (20 years or so in the motor trade). Class C is damaged, but repairable and could be put back on the road, so that would mean a word with the insurers in the first place.

It has to be taxed or sorned, if you cant do it online then form V317.
