My Kenwood Amp controls it's own decibel output by cutting out when my music reaches an unacceptable level (as determined by itself!). The two speakers are 4 ft and approx 12 ft away from the amp. I also have two other speakers - in another room - which are NOT affected by my amp's moods. Is there anything that I can do to bypass this? I DO NOT play music at silly volume, and merely wish for a machine to operate within MY boundaries rather than its own..... help!

Sounds, ignore the pun, as though its clipping, From this I deduce its a decent amp and you can adjust the 'clip' output. However adjusting this to allow greater 'loudness' can make the output sound distorted.

It could also be a bad connection, Itake it you have looked into this ?

Thanks QT..... but this is definitely down to loudness. If I turn the volume down, it plays without the cut-outs. How do I adjust the "clip"?
