Got too many of them in my area. Do the drivers not consider wheelchair users?

I'm slightly irked, however, what consoles me is the damage they are doing to their vehicles as they launch to their landing pad from a 30ft distance :-)

Then you would have enjoyed the sight of a car in the middle of a raised roundabout that had a three ft brick wall at its base - not a pretty sight!
I realise you cannot do it with a wheelchair but my eldest daughter has always been a whizz at getting her cheap and cheerful pushchairs through the gaps they leave, the grating noise is almost satisfying.
In slightly mad Britain, in most places it is not illegal to park on the pavement, but it is illegal to drive on the pavement - but in order to park on the pavement one has to drive on it, thereby breaking the law!
Oh dear, what happened Pysbbo ?.
We have a bit of a problem here with this, a pub on a 40mph stretch of road has customers that park completely on the pavement, rendering it useless for absolutely everybody, it's on a dangerous stretch where people would have to walk, wheel into the road to get round them. Also on the road I live which is quite busy, people often park taking up most of the pavement, parents have to walk little kiddies to school, no wonder they get driven half the time, probably the selfish pigs that park like this are the ones that moan about that too.
Do Chipsaway pay her commission, mamya ?.
Typical woman driver Tony:-)
I don't know Tony, maybe joy riders. When we were coming back police and garage men were trying to get it off

There's a couple at the end of my block who park their cars on the wide-ish pavement, so come bin day, we can't get pass their cars to put the bins on the kerb.

I might just drag the bins over their grass :-D

Carrust, women can't park :-D

(legs it)
What with cars parked on the pavements, cyclists and motability scooters rising on the pavement, there seems little room for the pedestrian these days :(
damn - riding not rising
The way it's going it will soon be safer to walk in the road, Milvus.
If you were to have any portion of your car on the sidewalk where I live, you would be fined no less than $500 and no more than $1000 for the first offense; your car would be towed away and impounded; and you would have to pay around $200 towing charge and $150 to get your car out of the pound. Not too many people park on the sidewalk.

oooh Stewey, that's sensible fines.

Ironically, some years ago, our council had a 'pavement for pedestrians' thingy on the go. I did have a 'grrrrr' moment, when I saw a logo'd council van parked half and half.
Every person in our street parks on the pavement because they have no choice, the street is very narrow but the pavements are quite wide.
I thought someome would have to have a dig at Mobility Scooters . I serious hope you never have the misfortune to need one. Pavement parking affects ALL people.
It's a pain where my daughter and BF live, she looks after my 2 granddaughters a couple of times a week and they need a double buggy and daughter has to walk the whole length of the cul de sac in the middle of the road as pavements both sides get clogged with people not putting their cars in their drives!
In our tiny street we have grass verges that the council have stopped cutting. We asked repeatedly over the years for these to be made into parking bays. So in all honesty, if folk didn't park on the grass, the street would be more rammed than it is. Of course, some take the P - one lady parks at 90 degrees to her front door, straight across the footpath. hey ho.
