reversing light switch for Renault Clio

I have a 1.2 Clio 'Grande' and the reversing lights are constantly on !!!! where is the God damn switch & or what should i do to fix the problem ???

If I entered a major road from a minor road and a car hit me is it my fault?

I cannot give you a definitive answer, as I am not familiar with that model, however there are two places it could be. One is on the bottom of the gear lever somewhere, which is unlikely, or more likely on the side of the gearbox.

There is normally a switch, which gets activated by a rod inside the box when in reverse. This usually takes the form of a metal casting, screwed into the box, and will have a couple of wires attatched. It sounds as though that switch is jammed, or faulty. A temporary fix is to pull offthe plug, but you will need to rectify the problem properly, by installing a new switch.

JUst look around the gearbox, and you should find it.
