Hi I am thinking of getting an MR2, but have read in some reviews that the bonnet is tiny to store anything. I read in one that all you can store is a small briefcase. Is this true. Does anyone know if you can buy a luggage holder to go on the back like you can on the mazda. Thanks

Which version MR2 are you talking about?  The Mk1 & 2 had the engine in the rear so there is a glorified parcel shelf under the boot lid.  Under the bonnet you'll find the spare wheel and because the bonnet is intentionally low to make it more streamlined, there is little room for much else.  I'd recommend going to a garage and see for yourself.

I haven't seen a Mk3 but I'd imagine it to be the same.

Kebab, not strictly true on the MK1 & 2 (they are actually mid-engined), I had a supercharged MK 1 and you could get sufficient luggage in both the front and rear 'boots' for two for 5 days or so, the MK 2s had even more space. The MK 3 however has no rear boot whatsoever just a couple of storage lockers behind the seats and a fairly small front boot.

I meant the engine being in the rear of the car rather than the front of the car.  I couldn't remember whether it was mid (longitude) or rear (transverse) mounted.  I thought rear would be easier to explain since mollymoo might not know the difference between a longitude/transverse mounted engine.

It was a long time ago but all I could remember was that there wasn't a great amount of room, but I stand corrected that there is a lot of room.

There is no boot space that has been designed for the latest incarnation of the MR2....
