i drive a alpha romeo 147 twinspark but it wont go into reverse ive been told its a internal problem with the gearbox has anybody got any ideas what it could be cheers

Well it's either the selector mechanism or the transmission itself.
What type of shift is it?
Hope it's not 'Selespeed' All electronic.
If it is .. there is the possibility of the switch box under the shift.

i dont know m8 but i dont think it is selespeed thanks anyway

Have you even looked at it?
How come you can't spell Alfa anyway? : )

Take a look at the mechanism from the gear lever to the box. Make sure everything is connected.
