Petrol Prices

A few years ago, I remember some kind of "chain email" being sent, about buying petrol from supermarkets rather than the bigger companies, in a bid to reduce petrol costs.  Does anyone know if this worked at all?  All I see is increase after increase - well done to the person who invents a "fuel free" car!!

Yeah i had that email a few months or weeks ago. I'll hunt in my email, then il let you know.

~Thanks mate, I must admit, I use a supermarket rather than the bigger companies, but it's still expensive - I can't believe that with the amout of motorists on the road, that we, as one, can't do something about it.  Surely if everyone shared a lift to work for a week, the petrol companies would feel the pinch?!....and hopefully reduce prices!!

I work in Saudi Arabia where petrol is ONLY 11p a Litre. So apart from the Government who else is skimming money off before the petrol hits the pumps?

Supermarket fule is generally of poorer quality that premium brand fuel, such as Shell or BP. Some argue this point, but as a high mileage user I can concur from first hand experience of all manner of options that it is false economy to go to use cheapo petrol unless you have an old banger or don't rely on your car significantly.

Teflon Tony takes most of the money anyway. Don't change where you fill up, change who you vote for.
