Who suggested that Tesco spend some of their 2 Billion profit in one year to take over what remains of the Rover Group?   100% top quality management and they're into everything from groceries to insurance to electronics so why not?  Or is that too much to hope for in a society where greed is more important than need?

If the succesful car company BMW couldn't make it work chances are pretty slim for anybody else. I really hope it does manage to continue in some form though.
Tesco sell good food, people buy it.  Rover make poor cars, people don't buy them.  Sorry, but Rover needs to be let go, even if they are the last UK owned mass OEM producer.  Tesco's, however, need an object lesson in not screwing the producer.
