Why, when I press the button on my Megane to lock the doors, do I sometimes hear a high pitched squeeling sound.

I then have to unlock the car, and press the button again.

Don't know why, but my Clio does this too.
Have done a bit of detective work this weekend.  The squeeling is coming from the lock on my hatch.  Next time I'm passing the garage I'm gonna call in and speak to them about it.  Don't know if this is normal.  My Parents also have a Clio and there's doesn't squeel.
