renault clio revving to 3500rpm in neutral

my clio took a heavy knock on the side ,on jump starting the car a few days later the engine is continually revving way too high even when being driven.is there an easy solution or do i have to go to a garage.thanks in advance.

Try and locate the throttle cable.  It may have moved/obstructed etc., from the heavy knock.  Give it a yank and make sure nothing is obstructing it.  See if that helps?
