What is an ADR licence?

Does anyone know what an ADR licence is? I've just seen a job advertised that says ADR licence an advantage but not essential. Is it something to do with advanced driving skills?

ADR = European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road

(I knew it was to do with dangerous goods, but it took me ages to find what it stood for)

An ADR licence is some paperwork that you get after taking a test in transporting hazardous materials (eg. chemicals, acid, hot chemicals, petrol, diesel, etc.)
