Horrible white stuff. I hope it doesn't settle
nothing in east essex yet, I thought horrible white stuff was dandruff.
Snow in Bolton. About 2 cms, hope it's gone in the morning.
what's 2 cms in english? 1 inch ?
I'd normally say 1" but was trying to be younger!! Failed!
No snow here in Suffolk, and we barely had enough for kids to make a snowman when everyone else was complaining about the white stuff last month. (All our local schools stayed open, the roads were clear and public transport was running normally).

You need to move to a better part of the country, Dot!

the only better part would be west yorkshire and they do proper snow over there.

I've had a bowl of porridge with butterscotch sauce and so i'm off to bed, may be on a week off but i've to go into work in another store tomorrow to help out and so need to try to get some sleep! nite guys
West Yorkshire, Dot?

Surely you mean South Yorkshire? I lived there for 20 years and I have to admit that it's hard to beat (even though it does get quite a bit of snow!)
Just keeping fingers crosssed it doesn't come down to the Midlands - going away near Coventry for a few days tomorrow - typical! Packed enough clothes for an Arctic expedition ......... ;)

A bit wet tomorrow but no problems thereafter (and definitely no snow!):

just a short while ago here in cambs there was the most incredible thunder and lightning storm, followed by five minutes of hard hail stones as big as marbles

now it has just settled down to a rain shower
Gale force at Heathrow - pity the passengers suffering turbulance :(
Hey, Excel, you're not far from me :) Its blowing a hoolie here and I aint chancing my bed in case the chimney blows
>>>Gale force at Heathrow????

Only about 17mph according to the BBC website. 'Gale force' is (according to the Beaufort Scale) 39mph to 46mph. I doubt that the passengers will even notice (and pilots will have no difficulties in landing).
BBC are always 24hrs late with weather. Its loud too.
Well it's lifting my conservatory roof Chris.....
I think that we had our 'storm' about 10 minutes ago. It consisted of a single clap of thunder and about 90 seconds of heavy rain. That seems to have been all we're getting here ;-)
