Galaxy engine problem

We have an automatic ford galaxy,when we hold it on the brakes in drive,the engine is trying to surge forward and reving,any ideas as to what the problem maybe.Many thanks.....Neil

It needs the TPS sensor and throttle body checking/cleaning for a start.
Also check for any splits in intake/inlet manifold-connected hoses .. or if any have come off.

Thanks Albags,it turns out it was a split inlet hose,all sorted now.Thanks again.....Neil
