Amsoil synthetic oil

Does the UK have an equivalent oil to this. It is recommended for vehicles with EGR valve problems. Many thanks.

I about the said EGR valve problem cure recommendations.If you have problems with EGR valve best you have this sorted.
You have not given the viscosity / oil grade,below are same oils claiming equivalent properties to amsoil synthetic oil;
Castrol magnetic
Castrol formula RS
Castrol power 1
mobil 1
Redline synthetic
Pennzoil platinum.

Thanks for that - I actually got a new valve put in, but I read in quite a few forums that Amsoil was the best to use to help alleviate the problem in the future. Thanks again, Liz.
The oil you refer to is an American product, it is expensive, proved to do the job, & it works well & without problems or consequences.

Like you, BOL10X, I hadn't a clue what it was all about, however, if you put EGR valve into your search engine, you'll find a mine of info on the subject, even videos showing where it lives and how to replace it. My diesel isn't turbo-charged, so I got about 35,000mls before the heat lamp sign came up, but always with a reduction in power. A new valve cost me �180 plus labour, so I'm glad it didn't happen after just 6 weeks! Cheers, Liz.
