Hi, I would def get the car serviced for your own piece of mind, take it to a small family VAT reg garage & ask to use fords own Filters Etc, I would when getting the Cam belt changed also get your fan belt done at the same time, when they do the Cam belt the kit comes with a new Tension er Etc, The cost with the service would be within 200--230. they will also stamp you service book, by doing what I & many would suggest will keep the car in a good serviceable way especially now with Summer coming.

its never put a foot wrong so far and have done a mini service myself but just need to make sure i get the big stuff done now i spose.

cheers
Hi, As said now that Summer is ahead of us,Motorway travelling Etc, that's the part that takes it's toll on unserviced cars, you have seen it yourself people scratching their heads on the EVIL hard shoulder just because they could not be bothered to check their car out before a journey, providing the belts are changed you should not get any problems.
