Help! My diesel 75 has started to cut out for a few seconds while running--very embarrassing in traffic and downright dangerous on Motorway. It will start again after several churns of the starter. It will also from time to time not start till after numerous churns in the morning.
The Computer check does not show anything as the fault is occasional. Garage are stumped. Any bright ideas ???PLEASE.................

I had a Rover 45 TDi and had the same problem. Again the diagnostics showed up nothing. However, they checked the fuel line and I think the "diaphram" (spelling??) and they found it blocked. The only thing we could think of at the time was using a can of diesel we had and it may have been contaminated i.e. debris in the it.

Ask the garage to check the fuel line and filters.
