some git decided to scratch his initials on the side of my car.

I want to get some touch in paint. Where would I find the colour I need to match?

On vehicle registration, it just says blue, which is obviously a bit vacant..

There must be something written someone, with the exact colour or number?

But where?

what is the make and model of your car? It varies car to car but is usually found on a metal plate either under the bonnet or on the door,

ezrgoode, its a Fiat Bravo. Will have a look tomorrow where you suggested.. thanks for replying
The link below may be helpful, if it's not in the places they suggest you could always take it into Halfords and they will look for you and even try to colour match the paint to the exact colour of your car.

Good luck.

lol, the link has appeared.....
just ring a dealer with the paintcode from the chassis plate, remember though it will never be 100%, a body shop would paint/blend the whole panel
this is a bit of a downer for you as all the aerosol spray paints are now water based.
I have been spraying cars for thirty years now using celulose and two pack paints, these are now banned.
so what you will get is waterbased, also a can of acrylic laquer to give it the finishing gloss,
I would advise to put a light mist coat on first, and give it plenty of drying time, before applying second coat, as it will run verry easily, a warm day will help a lot although for small jobs you could use a hot air gun, or hair drier at a push, the main thing is, don't rush it, or you will have loadsa trouble.
I still have not got the knack of this water based stuff.
good luck .

Advice by chas2008 is good. In fact, if you go to a main dealer and give them the registration number of your car they will be able to tell you in seconds. They have access to a master database.
