clunking noise

I have a 98 ford fiesta and every time i go over a bump the underneath of the car makes a clunking noise.Can anybody help.Many thanks

It would be useful to know if its coming from the front or back of the car.

Can you hear it at low speeds? Like say over a speed ramp?

You could get a passenger to wait outside the car to see if they can hear where it's coming from.

I'd suspect a wishbone bush has gone on the front as the most likely suspect - very common on the Ford's.

But as ******** says, you'll need to specify a little more as to where it's coming from, etc

The noise seems to come from the back and what ever speed i go its the same noise.It feels like something is not on right.Hope this helps

Hiya all when i had my MOT done last year the guy said something to do with the bushes. He didnt replace them because he said they should last until my next MOT in August.Could this be making the funny noise.Thanks to everyone who has repled.
