Dunno - your URL doesn't work
I can't explain the maths but, basically, whatever number you think of leads to a multiple of nine - if you look at all the multiples, you'll see that they all have the same symbol.
But that symbol changes with each guess thats why it goes away then comes back. You dont get the same symbol every time.
Hi gilf - the symbol changes every time but the multiples of 9 will all have the same symbol: and they will all be the same as the main symbol, whatever it's changed to.
Thanks, BadlyHungBoy--I finally figured it out once you said something. There are only four symbols available: the star in the circle, the odd-shaped "P" thing, ( Hah! I'm a fool.--Sorry!) the circle surrounded by the mini-circles, and the flowerty-leaf thing. These go around and around; no other symbols are EVER used. Conveniently, all the equations you pick result in a lower multiple of nine, e.g. 48: 4+8=12 and 48-12=36 which is the multiple of 9*4.
