Hi

I have noticed in last few weeks that I have no acceleration when driving the car from a cold start, it will start of fine and then after 3 - 4 mins it will lose acceleration. No warning lights come up nor does it start to chug just very smoothly i lose acceleration. The only problem I have with the car is a leak from gear box.

Hi Paul

Sorry dont know wat happened there!!  What I meant to say was that I used to have the same problem with my old car.  The clutch was cahnged etcetc v.expensive, but it turned out that when my mum had run it out of petrol twice all the gunk from the bottom of the tank had clogged up the fuel pump.  try getting your mechanic to replace yours, its not hugely expensive and does the trick!!  It won clear itself, and I found that it actually got worse to the point where I couldnt go faster than 10mph!! very scary!  Let us know how you get on!
Try cleaning the fuel filter first before considering replacing a fuel pump.
sounds like ht leads to me
