I don't watch much TV and I normally despise "family" sitcoms - with all that phoney precocious scripting forced on the kids and the canned laughter, but this has something special. I think it's because it's partially improvised and the kids have been allowed to be more natural and real.

Favourite quotes:

Karen (7) (after a despute with her brother Ben) "He called me lezza, which I really don't like, and a tosspiece!"

Ben (9) (after having his room tidied up) "What the hell have you done to my room?!! ...it's full of ...floor!"

..another great quote:
(From Karen)
"but Jesus was meek and mi-ulllllddd, and besides, he knew that when Herod got to hell that God would roast him 'til his eyeballs exploded"
I just love it. When I watched the very first one I didn't find it that good - very probably because it was so different from the usual sit-com type of show we usually have thrust on us (like My Family which has the humour and canned laughter that sitcoms have had for years) so Mr Q and I didn't get into it til the second series, now we watch any repeat that's shown. Great stuff!
It's a great show - very talented children. But my favourite quote was from dad at the tennis game ....... "oh really, and what county did you plays for then? W*nkershire?" Priceless.
Yes, its fantastic. Me and Oh wont miss it.
It's one of those programmes with so much content that one can still find something new when watching the repeats. Brilliant acting by all concerned. I wish there were more comedy programmes like this.
What side is it on again?
Look on you tube - Karens list approx 4 seconds 'have you been looking at my list' brilliant acting - not that I am obsessed or anything
Great show, just bought series 1 and 2 on dvd, lots of laugh out loud moments!
When it's on it's BBC1

I love it....
Karen on economising:
“I know a way we could save money...by not buying brocolli.”
That made me laugh because I'm with her on that one

and the mouse funeral is one of my favourites...'Amen and out' :o)

I liked the bit when a mother in law was there, saw a papier mache elephant's head in the kitchen and asked what it was.

The father answered "Oh that's the elephant in the room. We never talk about it"
The mother in law looked totally baffled.
superb show. Just superb.
Especially when some of the dialogue is improvised.
Ummmm, it's also repeated on Gold or Dave. I never know when, but I sometimes find it when I'm flicking about. Excellent stuff ;)
Actually watching it now - the one where Ben has made stuff up about his Dad being in the SAS and about the mother who has collected money for him as he is dying.
I love it too I reckon it's the funniest comedy that is on the box. Wish it would be on more - except that perhaps it's best as a short series, in the same way that they only made 13 episodes of Fawlty Towers - and we're all wishing there was more!

Brilliant stuff - can watch no end of repeats.

Here's another favourite scene of mine.

...yes and don't under any circumstances download all three series from http://thepiratebay.o...ch/outnumbered/0/99/0 because that's naughty and I don't advocate it.
