I watched a bit of it with one eye on the computer. Not overstruck.
Question Author
it was surreal boxy, more about the twighlight life of the Gay scene and not much of his music
I think the idea was to show George as he was before fame - and then after it.

i thought it evoked the period, and the man, very well.

I have read his book and the one his Mum wrote too
still adore the music!
Funnily enough, as on the other thread I didn't like his music (apart from the first release) but loved the drama. Karma Chamelion was dreadful imho. Have never rated his voice.
I watched it last night. I thought it was quite good but depressing. It showed the shallow way of life that these people lived. They acted as if they were superior by being different but I`ve read both Boy George`s and Steve Strange`s autobiographies and they ended up heroin wrecks
I don't think they were aiming for 'superiority' - just a feeling of belonging.

Teeange years are the times when your personality is forming. You feel 'unformed' inside, you tend to externalise an identity to enable you to bond with a like-minded group, which gives security.

This has been the case for youth cults since the fifties, and is still true today.

What may appear as an outward sense of superiority is busy masking a sense of fear and insecurity - the bigger the 'inside' feeling, the brasher and more obvious the 'outside' image needs to be.
Is that why I was such an extrovert in my youth? When I think of what I was like it embarrasses me? ;o)
