Next time it`s on, tell me if Foyle is reading idiot boards before he speaks, as he never seems to look at the person he is speaking to until he has read his script. I find it very distracting from the story.

Charlie Fairhead in Casualty does the same, never looks at the person he is speaking to, anywhere but
Oi Carlton, leave the lovely Michael Kitchen alone :o) That's just his style & it works well when he's being amusing or sarcastic.
I'm hanging back on this one as have only just seen it (well half of it, I fell asleep). Not too sure I'll bother with another episode!
Next weeks should be interesting, I believe the story line involves a racial issue.

Be interesting to see if the end result is tackled in 2010 PC mode, because although it may come as a bit of a shock to today's audiences, attitudes towards colour, where much different in 1945.
I noticed in this last one, they were smoking behind the bar, which isn't allowed these days!

BRILLIANT programme!

netibiza - I'll agree that the opening episode was "lame", but this week's was better!

Thanks CaroGirl. I also recognised Crondall as a frequent setting.
