I thinking of  signing up for a online DVD rental service, where you can rent up to three DVDs at a time, no time limits and free post return, anyone have any exprience of these, there seem to be a couple of decent ones [ www.screenselect.co.uk  www.lovefilm.com ] but I don't know which one to go for, any advice?

My brother uses cdwow.com & is happy with them

CDwow isn't a rental service is it? It's for buying CDs and DVDs
There is a slight claus with this service. A well known rental company has just started this service and the claus is that there is a waiting list for 'chart' titles.  If say 30 people went into the shop and rented this film they would get first dibs then you go onton a list until everyone who has ordered said film on the net before has had their rental.  I know this because a friend of mine owns a video rental store and has close contact with the well known rental company mentioned.   I would advise to talk to them direct and ask them about how lon g you would wait for rentals etc... and if you are liable for loss in post etc...

I assume you mean Blockbusters greedyfly?
I haven't used either yet, but a friend of mine recommended lovefilm to me although I have never got round to registering.

I've used Blockbusters and Lovefilm - both were reliable and efficient however neither company sent me my priority films i.e. the ones i wanted and i was stuck with the lower end films. Expect to wait for new releases for a good while.

A good pointer...The majority of sites offer a month's free trial - I trailled Blockbusters then cancelled and now I am a free member of LoveFilm. I suggest taking advantage of as many free trials as you can before signing up for a contract! I am intend to rent for free for as long as I can!

BTW, LoveFilm is CD Wow's rental service...

Using Blockbuster and so far has gone ok. Was not happy thay they hadn't sent me my top ones on list then the next 3 were my 1, 2, and 3 choices. The whole of your list is made up of films that you want to see so I suppose it depends if you're bothered how quickly you see them.
