Black books was hillarious (in my opinion but it is an aquired taste) and I loved every episode.

It was on a level (taste, budget and quality) with Father Ted.
Very funny! I'd never come across Dylan Moran before I watched it. Watch all 3 series and was hooked. And Tamsin Greig is also very funny. Worth watching : )
Yes, very funny, and also very dry.

The Father Ted comparison is a very fair one, although Black Books has nothing to do with the clergy and the character types are quite different.

If you like Dylan, though, you'll love it.
One word:- Genius!
Dylan Moran, Tamsin Greig and (best of all IMHO) Bill Bailey all in the same series. It couldn't fail...and it didn't. ;-)

I thought the first series was better than the second but ace none the less.
If you like Dylan Moran track down a series he did called How Do You Want Me?
Its an overlooked classic IMO.
It was brilliant!!!!
