Hi. I was just wondering how Deal or no Deal works, does every contestant have to take time of work/college/uni etc for the entire time they are on there? do they film several shows in a day or is it live? There was a lady on there a while ago who had been on 50 shows and still wasnt picked and it got me wondering.
Surely being a contestant doesnt invole taking huge amounts of time off work because they wouldnt get many people to do it....would they?

Can anyone tell me what the process it?

Thank you in advance

I think they film about 3 shows a day, so if someone has been there for about 20 shows its not really that long at all. But yes i think the contestants have to take time off work/uni - but if you notice a lot of the contestants are either young or old not many middle aged people usually.

There have been a few people who have actually left their job prior to being on the show which i think is a tad stupid!!

hope this helps x
the longest any one has waited on the show is 32,not 50
Lucy had her turn on her 50th show. Unfortunately, she only won a few quid.
And unlike the Spanish version 'Alla Tu' they actually choose the contestant of the day. Here they randomly select them.
I have posted this a few times before but i will again, a lady at work's daughter was on the show.

She went to bristol for filming for 2 weeks, they put her up in a hotel.

She knew at the start of the two weeks filming when her show would be and so it isn't random at all. her family were allowed to come down for the filming of her own show,

Thanks everyone, thats really helpful. I didnt realise that the contestants knew when their show would be at the beginning of their 2 weeks.

Thanks again for all your answers!!
