Weight loss Program problem

I have a problem with my housemates and co-students at college. I am on a health program before I go away to Australia later this year. I am 172cm and slim, but I want to be slimmer and buffer for being by the pool. I have not been eating much, keeping a food chart and swimming each morning for an hour at least. My friends say they are bored of hearing about it all the time and I don't need to lose weight. I think they should listen to me and be supportive. Who is right? What can I do?

Listen to your friends?

You've admitted that you are slim, but want to be slimmer.

Maybe to slim if you get my drift?

Your friends are RIGHT
Just ignore them. Although how much weight to do you have to lose? Make sure you are not overdoing it. Good luck.
Why don't you check it out with your doc - that you are not losing too much too quick? Then just ignore them!
Your friends are correct they are clearly getting pi55ed of with your self obsessed attitude. They probably couldn't give a toss and are irritated by you going on about it all the time. I'm sure they would be supportive if you just shut up and get quietly on with starving yourself.
Are your friends bigger than you? It may not make them feel so great if you keep banging on about wanting to be slimmer if they have trouble maintaining their weight themselves.

I think you should go see your GP and make sure that you are not going end up underweight.

However, I was unhappy with my wobbly bits and starting going to Body Pump classes five weeks ago (I only go once a week, although I also do yoga and swimming once a week too) and my body shape has changed dramatically, I now have toned my entire body in such a short space of time and feel really good for it. On the scales I have not lost an ounce but am more toned and stronger and I eat whatever I like, although still have a balanced diet.
I have to admit that I have no time for people who obsess about their weight, especially when they have a healthy body that most people would kill for. I actually find that its the slimmer ones who go on and on about it. Its boring for others to listen to. Plus there are bigger and better things in life to concern yourself with.

If you want to lose weight just get on with it. Its not of interest to anybody else.
Stop going on and on about it in front of your friends. Their point of not wanting to hear about it all the time is fair, it's your diet not theres and if you have nothing else to say in a conversation then it must be getting pretty boring!
