Unfortunately, I don't think you can separate the two. Thought a number of the better singers bit the dust tonight, perhaps because their faces didn't fit.

Thought the two black guys 'The Brothers', were better than many. It seemed a question of quotas - there was already a black vocal group, no room for another. The Scottish chaps seemed very nice, but were they any better? I think they went through because Louis thought that they will be this year's 'Journey South' (thankfully it appears they have). Also thought Eton Rd were better than Avenue - though this of course was rectified by default. Thought Sharon should have chosen another too, but can't remember who now.

What's the band that got through on default? The 4 lads? There is one of those that scares the bejeeeeezus out of me. Why does he wear blusher? Also, methinks he is getting thinner every time I see him. The camera has started to avoid him now and focus more on the others. Maybe the camera man is also scared of him?

I think the woman from glasgow with the long dark hair should have went thru . I thought she was a lot better than the girl in the wheelchair ..I do think Sharon has put her thru for the sympathy vote ..I can imagine all her songs already ..all ballads about how great god is and how thankful for a second change kinda thing.
Sharon ..always does the sympathy vote thing ..remember last year and the andy crap ..{Oh Im just a dustman and doin this for my kids ..} please ..ugh!!

i am fed up of the sob stories too. I cringe everytime someon says something like "this means everything to me" "this is my last chance". Why is it? if you are good enough then surley you will make it in your chosen career anyway? that girl who got knocked out a few weeks ago who'd been in a car crash a few weeks ago (the one who had about 27 family members with her) drove me bananas by saying that winning x factor was the reason she was alive and if she didnt get through she woulf just die. What a load of baloney!

mind you its not just x factor. In that maria prog, the one that won was saying stuff like " i dont want to go back to working in a call centre, sob sob" why not? millions of people do it? whats wrong with earning an honest living?.

I also hate it when they wheel on their proud grandmothers for sympathy

I'm with supakev, thought the brothers were fab, unconventionals are just that, very nice but X-Factor no, no, no, I would have put the scottish women with huge hair through instead of the wheelchair lass, didn't really rate her voice, also I loved the cute kid who hadn;t managed to sing a whole song until he got to Simons house then I thought he was Fab, reckon he's got a career on the stage soon could be the next Gareth Gates. Ray to win, especailly when the image girls get hold of him and sort out the hair and spots. Right I'm off now to place a bet Ray to win yeah!
