Hi AB'ers, is there a website that gives details about the last episodes ever of tv programs? (mainly UK stuff) I'm watching the Profesionals at the moment from the 80's, and it got me thinking why was it cancelled as it was a top prog in it's day. I'd be interested to find out about it and others of the past. Thanx ...dagman

I generally find http://www.tv.com a good source for TV information. According to the info on there for The Professionals, the two main actors' contracts expired in 1981 and they simply didn't want to make any more, and the makers didn't want to recast it.
Although it was American, I remember being really stunned by the last ever episode of Soap, when all the scrapes that people were in the week before all actually went through to the conclusion, and everyone died. Soap was also at the top of it's game I thought.

i remember soap with fondness but i dont think it was ever as good as people made out.

the professionals was brilliant, the uk version of starsky and hutch.i seem to recall that lewis collins was touted as the next big thing and evidently that never happened !

hutch was my fave from s&h and bodie from the pro's !

Thanks for your replies, I'll check out the site robbo82, I can't remember the end of Soap curiosity! I did watch it but must have missed the final one somehow! The programs I will probably chase will be long running stories where people are in situations we are all waiting for them to resolve but probably never did and how they got round the last episode. 'Lost' may go this way!!! just interested to see where it all ends! daft I know! Thanks again!
