Can anyone suggest 'essential' episodes that can catch me up with the current storylines in Dr Who?

I haven't seen anything past the first couple of episodes of David Tennant's last season as Doctor, and none of Matt Smith so I'm not looking forward to having to watch every episode for 3(?) seasons.
Thanks!

Dont bother, Matt Smith is rubbish and the new scripts are worse. They have ruined it and Torchwood
I'd second that - ruined now it is, ruined!!
