Hoppy, when i purchased the laptop, it came with built in 'S mode'. I had no idea at the time but it prevented me from doing quite a few things, including providing an avatar. Just had some problems with phishing ads which, thanks to Chris's help, have now been resolved mainly by deactivating the 'S mode'.
I bet he can hear well.

That's one word for him, M :-)
Ta for the enlargement.
No, still have no idea. Is S mode a bit like Sports mode on a car?

I bet you daren't tell him to his face that he has big ears:-))

I don't really know what purpose it serves, Hoppy. Apparently it's for that little extra security by preventing anything other than Microsoft approved aps (i think). Didn't prevent those annoying phishing ads! As i said, it was built in and, according to Chris, i don't need it. So it's no longer part of my set up.
Thank heavens for Chris. How come he knows so much?

I was almost correct :-)
Didn't recognise you there Ken. Definitely not trap 1 material with those sails up.
Watch out for S mode reactivating after a system upgrade Ken.
