Good Morning Early Birds

morning, Sunday already, the days are going fast, and we are only just into 2022.
I am posting much earlier than normal as i can't get back to sleep, so if there are any kind souls out there who want to keep me company please do.
I hope you are all as well as can be, and that your day is a happy one. Are you doing anything special today?

Morning emmie. It was nice to read that you had a great time with your family. Hope you are feeling better yourself now.
No special plans for today, usual routine - cooking a nice roast dinner , some housework, Sunday crosswords. All I need first is some sleep. Any plans for yourself?

no plans except get the clothes sorted, as i had to do three washes when came back from brothers place and it's hard to get it dry, but the last lot has gone into the airing cupboard to dry off.

Yes, so early in fact that I haven't even tried to get to sleep yet! Listening to music, posting some tunes on mamyalynne's thread.

It will soon be time to stop drinking and put a pot of coffee on, and a cooked breakfast.

Very quiet Christmas just the two of us, thank you. We were in bed by 9 p.m. last night, cannot remember the last time I stayed up to hear the chimes of midnight.

me neither, though i woke at midnight when the fireworks went off.

it wasn't intentional, just happened to wake to the noise

Fireworks are no respecters of insomniacs!

i went to bed ok and slept for a few hours before they went off, then back to sleep when they stopped.

I seem to have lost the ability to sleep for several hours. I tend to have short catnaps, usually hours apart. The joys of retirement.

indeed, i get to sleep ok usually, its staying asleep is the main bugbear.

I hope 1ozzy will join you soon. I am going to try for a sleep before I have to get up (that sounds Irish, lol). I was Skyping my Irish friend last night and she comes out with terrific contradictions in the same sentence. I usually know what she means but we thankfully both have a good s.o.h.
