We've have 6 months of howling and wriggling from the SGB but it seems there are some remain voters that regret not voting to leave themselves.

doh! * How many!
Well the scaremongering has not come to pass, and now they see the Metropolitan liberal elite minority using their influence and wealth trying to manipulate the vote of the lower ranks. Nothing pees off people more than that.
It cuts both ways, I have some friends who voted leave as a protest vote against the Government and now regret it.
I dont know a single person that voted to leave that has changed their mind.

Why would you use a vote like that to bash the Government?
If you don't think your vote matters, why not use it as a protest vote? Happens in General Elections all the time. Unfortunately, some people will have undoubtedly forgotten that this was not a general election, but a "most votes wins" national referendum, and more fool them for voting against the government as a protest.

Still, we can't know how many people *did* vote out of protest in that way, and it doesn't to my mind affect the legitimacy of the result.
"Well the scaremongering has not come to pass"
The pound has hit an all-time low, and oply revived a bit after the High Court ruled that parliament must have a say.
Prices in the supermarkets are rising and will continue to rise.
A number of companies have mad plans to leave, and the only one that's committed to staying received a bribe.

And all this before Brexit has officially even begun.

Perhaps you can tell us which of the promised benefits of Brexit have come to fruition?

I know a number of people who voted Brexit specifically becuaws they were convinced it would save the NHS. Of course, even the thickest must now be aware that that was pure lies.
^ sorry about the typing - types on my tiny mobile keyboard.
I know some that voted to LEAVE that would now change their vote, if it were possible. For me, I haven't changed my REMAIN mind one little bit.
I don't understand why anyone who voted Remain might regret it. Even if they now feel leaving is now the right thing to do I don't see why they would REGRET it given that leave won anyway. The only reason i can see why some might regret it is that they might feel a more decisive majority - say 60-40 might have led to things progressing more quickly, but for all we know the extra votes might have simply cancelled out those who would have preferred we Remain but voted Leave just to say 'up yours' to the establishment, Cameron etc
Cameron was on his way out anyway. It was pointless protesting against him.
Strange how up to yet, at least, the only people who know ‘Leavers’ who regret voting ‘Leave’ seem to be ‘Remainers’. One could be forgiven for suspecting there’s just a little bit of spinning going on here, but we’ll see.
It works both ways, Naomi. It seems pointless to me for either side to claim anything as nobody knows and the snapshot result is all that matters (unless there is a revote)
fiction-factory, //It works both ways, Naomi. //

If it does and there's a re-run, you'd better hang on to your hat. I don't know any Leavers who have changed their mind.
If it helps with your survey, naomi, know 3 leavers who voted Leave but preferred Remain. Sounds daft I know at first look (just as daft as voting Remain if you wanted to leave). One wanted to get at Cameron as she hated him as a stuck up something or other) and one did it in London because he thought Remain would win easily and he didn't want the size of the victory to be too great as the govt might get complacent. The third person says she didn't realise how complicated leaving would be and how much attention would have to go on that at teh expense of other important matters.

There are many Remainers who accept the result and just want to get on with it.
I'm sure that's true, but the point is it has little bearing on the overall picture. For myself, of my many friends and relations I don't know one that regretted voting leave -- because almost all of them voted to remain (and no, they don't regret that choice either).
fiction-factory, you know some very strange people.
>If it does and there's a re-run, you'd better hang on to your hat. I don't know any Leavers who have changed their mind.

In the event of a re-run (Gawdelpus)) it may be the votes of those who didn't vote last time that make the difference, naomi.

Anyway i have listed three Leavers for you but I accept we can't always judge the overall mood just from the views of people we know.

“The pound has hit an all-time low,”

Because it was over-valued for some time. (See below).

“Prices in the supermarkets are rising and will continue to rise.”

Because supermarkets import much of their goods. For eight years or thereabouts the government has been printing worthless money (one of the main reasons why the pound became overvalued). If you print more pounds without any concomitant increase in underlying value then each one becomes worth less. Simple schoolboy economics. Eventually the chickens come home to roost despite the government’s best efforts at “containment”.

“A number of companies have mad plans to leave,”

But none have actually left (because Brexit has not happened). Time will tell if any of them carry out their threat.

“Perhaps you can tell us which of the promised benefits of Brexit have come to fruition?”

Apart from Messrs Cameron and Osborne sailing off into the sunset, none. And that’s because, as you pointed out, Brexit has not begun yet. It was quite obvious, and well forecast, that considerable instability would ensue from a vote to leave. Short term pain for long term gain, and all that.

“I know a number of people who voted Brexit specifically becuaws they were convinced it would save the NHS.”

Then they were idiots.
I don't know anyone who has regretted their vote however they voted, but then it's not a dinner table topic here, am sure some will have different thoughts.

I voted remain, have no regrets and haven't partaken of one single acidic fruit that keeps being mentioned, nor have I griped - simply accepted that the vote went the other way.
As you all know I voted Remain. Nothing has changed I am now even more certain Remain was the correct choice.
As to reasons people voted 'leave' well I posted on that just after the vote. Reasons I heard were
Because it was that Bl***y Thatcher what got us in it ! 3 votes
Because I hate Cameron 4 votes
Because my mobile phone will cost more 2 votes
But far and away the most common reason was
To get rid of the bl***dy forieners & immigrants ! 8 votes
