We’re often told on these pages that UKIP only presents a threat to the Conservatives. However, I’ve just been watching the Daily Politics on BBC2 where, amid protests and forced to abandon a Rotherham event on police advice, Nigel Farage, confined to his office and conducting himself with humour and dignity was interviewed by Andrew Neil who said that UKIP is presenting a very real challenge to Labour in Rotherham.

Local Labour MP Sarah Champion has tweeted, “it was "hilarious" that he had been trapped in the party's office by protesters.” No dignity there.

Not to worry. Anyone interested can have a go at both - and I've no doubt some will 'have a go'. ;o)

What next Labour supporters painting graffiti on the windows of certain other opposing party's windows, when we last see such things as this?

Think on next May do we want such a party controlling the country?
Nothing yet Naomi, they must have all caught the next bus up to Rotherham.
That 'hilarious' remark should be the last nail in her coffin. Not that anyone in Rotherham(in their right minds) will ever vote Labour again.
Notice the usual AB 'social justice warriors' seem to be keeping a low profile on these matters. Can you imagine if a UKIP MP laughed at Miliband being 'brow-beaten' by, say, the EDL.
There'd be no room left on AB for any other story for months(or probably years, lol)
Obviously MP Sarah Champion has not got the sense to keep a low profile on this occasion. Shame they were not so vociferous when they played the 3 wise monkeys over the exploitation of young children by Pakistani grooming gangs. The council is not fit for purpose and her party not fit to run the country either.
Notice one of the protesters has a 'NO TO BIGATRY' placard.
They must be from the 'Intelligence Corps'.
Everyone should be running scared in Rotherham! Media URL: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-31130750
Description:
Well, that should bring Ukip a few more votes. Appalling!
^^^ the 'mob rule' bit, I mean.
Of course they will still vote Labour in Rotherham because their father and grandfather did so they couldn't possibly vote for anyone else.
Nigel should be thankful that so many people turned up to welcome him to
Rotherham !

Yes perhaps he should had also rented a mob of knuckle-draggers such as those lefties.

But If he had, then they would have been soon forcibly removed for some strange reason.
I have no sympathy for Farage - if he needs any. I suspect he's rather enjoying the "siege mentality" publicity that some of these people needlessly are bestowing on him
Yes. The Labourites have been scoring a few own goals recently in Rotheram recently. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot !!!

Mikey, //Nigel should be thankful that so many people turned up to welcome him to Rotherham !//

Oh, I don’t know. UKIP have several councillors there now, don’t they? I think they said ten on television this morning, so they’re not doing too badly in what was once, I believe, a real Labour stronghold.

ichkeria //I have no sympathy for Farage - if he needs any.//

I don’t think he does. These people have done him a favour.
"Sarah Champion told the BBC she still supported her tweet, but later deleted it"

Usual Labour type weasel
Champion has a majority of just over 5,000. Watch that be whittled down in May.

She might lose her office rather than be trapped in one, now wouldn't that be hilarious?
The more that Farage conducts himself with equanimity, dignity and humour, the more votes he will attract. Those who are opposed to UKIP should think long and hard about what their tactics are actually achieving.
It would be instructive should UKIP win control of the council.

They are a bunch of opportunist one trick ponies with no firm policies for running anything.

It's all being made up as they go, and the sooner they go, the better.

UKIP are the new Lib Dems?
