Corrie Getting Really Silly

Anyone else think Corrie is getting ridiculous?
Stupid storylines tonight - The tortoise, Eric, Gloria gold digger and funerals, Full Monty charity - I can't laugh at any of them they are so silly and corny. Does Coronation Street have a new producer, if so, heaven help us!

No you are right - it is too silly for words - and no harm to Miss Sue Johnston - but no matter what botox she gets she will never be a good looking woman as sometimes is being portrayed in the script

A couple of my friends have stopped watching it. I think the writers are getting it wrong. I think they've tried to write to attract a younger audience and it's not working. I'll persevere with it in the hope it improves.

I agree Ann, some ridiculous storylines. I wish it wasn't so damned addictive. I keep saying I'll stop watching it, but I can't.

I like Corrie but i do agree with this post.. I also feel Eastenders is losing(lost) the plot too..

I liked Brookside too. Shame they scrapped it.

I have watched it for absolute years - for two pins I could stop watching it as it makes me crosser and crosser every week, they must think the viewers are morons to want rubbish like that - I continue watching (or half-watching) in the hope it will improve. I'm sure the viewing figures must be going down, I know of many people who have stopped watching it recently because of these awful storylines.

I tend to prefer the dippy storylines rather that the deep heartsearching psychobabble they produce. What happened to the tortoise, I gather she still has it and I must have missed a couple of episodes? Ta.

The storylines are getting boring I agree. The only one I'm remotely interested in is the Tyrone and Kirsty one.

I walked in just at the end of it tonight, they need to get the exterminators in pdq as there was a pack of rats walking down the street!
