Did anyone else feel upset by last night's episode?.It is bad enough reading about the sex- grooming and prostitution of young girls but entirely different when you actually see a programme .Somehow the visual impact is more disturbing than actually reading about it.

No, I thought it was extremely effective, especially in the light of recent events. If it wakes one person up to how easy it is to be groomed and flattered, and how easy it is to get sucked into the net, it will be doing a good service. I can't say I enjoyed it but I thought it was very true to life, and I'm going to watch part 2 tonight.
i don't watch this i must say because of the graphic content, was even more
upset when watching a snippet of programme with Ken Hom, and they showed a piece where sheep was slaughtered the halal way, not sure why they think that is good for a programme on food, even if it is to do with China and it's culture's relationship with food.
I think the sex scenes/abuse was portrayed discreetly and sensitively, whilst making it quite clear what was going on.

Excellent part one.
Agree with Boxtops. If it makes people aware of how vulnerable some young girls can be - and they are young aren't they - then I'm all for it.
There's been so much in the papers about this over the last couple of years. But somehow watching this on TV last night made it real for me. Just the sight of that young girl locked in a room, drugged up and crying, made me realise what a horrific situation this is.
All school girls should watch this, to warn them of what could happen.
lidlicker - I agree absolutely. The two girls bunking off school in the playground were just ordinary kids. This could happen to any young girl feeling all the rebellion and confusion of adolescence.

Yes, you can see why the girls are flattered by all the attention.
Yes, I really can. Girls in their teens are so paranoid about their looks, about wanting to feel loved, that it probably wouldn't take much attention from a good-looking young guy for this scenario to unfold
