A young married couple won £175,000 on the TV programme "The Million Pound Drop" last night by correctly answering the question "Which is colder, the North or South Pole?
I got it wrong, but what which Pole would you have chosen?
I'll post the answer tomorrow

for no reason i can explain, the south pole.
I think it's the South.
South pole. Higher altitude than North pole and in the middle of a landmass not on top of an ocean.
I'd say south, for the same reasons as Graham-W: ice and cold winds all round. I'd have to ask David Attenborough to be sure though.
Well it should be the North Pole as it is on top?

No seriously, the South Pole averages something close to -55 to -60 whereas the North Pole winter average is around -35 - also summer time it gets to around 0 and even 5C has been recorded.
i think that it is not the north pole that is colder.
didnt want to put south like everyone else.
I saw the prog - she was very clever
Can't be the North Pole. Heat rises ;-))
I didn't see and don't know but would probably have guessed South. Isn't the south solid ice whereas the north has some land mass under it or is it the other way round or is that all rubbish?
No 1, it wasn't a young married couple at all, it was the two presenters of Location location location, Phil Spencer & Kirsty Allsop. They are married, but not to each other.
Kirsty is very clever.
And Phil is very tolerant.
I love Kirsty
Why is Kirsty always pregnant ?
She's not as often as Sarah Beeney is!
well the property market is full of big pricks, tony......
LOL @ DT. excellent response.
Ive wondered this myself, ive always magined the north would be colder.
