Does yours have a low hum when there's script on the screen. Is everyone short & fat ?

How can I correct this ?

Don't know what's causing your TV problems, but if it's still within the guarantee period, call the supplier out. Let them sort it out.

Supplier - you must be joking. Never had this before the change-over from analogue.
Not sure why it,has changed but go into the tv settings and play around with the picture format, this should correct the short and fat problem. You should also be able to check the audio on the tv settings again play around with it until you are, happy, you can't mess anything up by doing this.
Change the TV settings to 16:9

How to change tv settings ?
If you have a set top box then on your menu list there should be an option called set up or similar. That should give you the options to alter picture format. Haven't heard of the low sound with subtitles before but my hearing is not the sharpest. If your TV has inbuilt Freeview I'm afraid I've no experience.
