Well, having just read the News ..those people in America being shot by some maniac whilst innocently watching a film ..and a little three month old baby was killed ..it makes my leak seem a bit trivial .Dreadful .
My sister in law is getting her foundations fixed....houses are just money pits. Its been a fine day here <gasp> The small settee covers are washed and the room smells fresher....Life returns to normal.....
Shaney you're so right. Makes my wrist very trivial too.

Just called in to say oight oight everyone. See you tomorrow,
oight oight all
Ps should we be up sticksing?
Morning all...yes shaney, that's dreadful news.

Fog?! In July? I know you coastal bods are probably used to it but it's not common here. It did feel very autumnal yesterday. Sun's just come out!

My garden doesn't smell fresh, it's like a stagnant swamp. Nothing to do with the weather, the £$%%&* binman didn't check the brown one had emptied and it was left with a load of wet stinky grass in the bottom. I've tipped it out so it can dry a bit before I put it back. Gardener will be here on Mon to add some more to it so I'll be watching them closely next time....grrrr. I know it's not a nice job but it's not nice to left with smelly stuff for a fortnight either.
They're quick enough to look inside before they empty it tho' they had the cheek to put slapped wrist notes on a few bins 'cos they'd obviuosly commited some ghastly waste disposal crime. Mini rant over, haha.

I'm a bit busy woofy so I'll sort something later or after the weekend.
good morning all, yes a misty start here but very nice.
Robi have you got anything lined up? shout if you want a home.
I am waiting in for my new printer...home is looking tidy amazing.
Did I say i had had my garden redone? I have gone for very low maintenance. here are the pictures, it was finished yesterday

Well that's just what I needed on the first warm day in months, a putrid bin to clean out. YUK!

That's stunning woofy...eat ya heart out groundforce! Hope you paid your gardeners minimum rates. ;o)
Yes please, any suggs welcome, we may as well stick around here for the weekend as it'll probably be a quiet one...unless the revellers all pile in blotto. :o)

I've had a beautiful bunch of flowers from the family of the lady [who was] next door to say thank you for having been a good neighbour. It was a two way thing, she was good to me too and I miss her. :'o(
That's lovely Robi, too often all that neighbours have done gets forgotten at such a sad time. The garden is one of my entries in the local show (true) I will go have a rummage through my questions.
Afternoon biddies, sorry for being absent. I wrote a long post on the phone only to lose most of it!!

Jude, hope you are feeling OK. Do not go to any Alice Cooper gigs as that arm could seriously hurt someone if flailing about!!!

Oh lottie, when I came back from England, I got several flea biteson my ankles, as although Mr N had fought a valiant battle with them, there were still some of the marauding little b's left!! I scratched like mad and my legs were all scarred, dreadful, but I powdered everywhere and hoovered everyday, and finally got rid of them, cat is not allowed in the house at the moment, even with new flea collar and drops. Apparently salt is excellent for killing fleas, it dehydrates them, but if one lives in a humid country, the salt turns to water (as here) so not a lot of good.

Have just made scotch eggs from scratch, skinning sausages, whizzing up breadcrumbs from English bread and am pleased with the result, it is a labout of love!!

Hope you enjoy the wedding Lottie.

Went to a proper zumba class last night (not one adapted for old ladies) and it nearly killed me, plus I have no energy in the evenings, so that is a no no never to be repeated!!! But I have to say that I did keep up with the youngsters at at some points I even knew what I was doing!!!

Really hot and humid here, hate it, hate it, and have nappy rash under my boobies, sore and painful!!!

Hope the rest of yous are fine and happy xx
Neti have you tried Eurax? Its very good for itchy rashes.
I have spent the afternoon sorting computers, installing a new printer. a bit longwinded but it all went well and we are printing in the right colours again.
tomorrow.....the lawn!!!!!!
Long day, very tired....oight oight.
Morning all...bit fresh and cloudy but it is dry!
I had a long busy day yesterday too...flopped into bed about 10.30 and next door had his mates round and were making a noise 'til nearly 1am.....grrrrr.
morning all. I decreed a day off from early walk as we had such a busy one yesterday...am just lazing around, was going to mow but i don't like doing it on a sunday and its so nice and quiet here.

Hello folks
Cloudy here but at least it's dry and I can wash some of my soggy bed linen !
Nice day yesterday .We ended up going to the reception after all .SiL's sister drove so that kept my brother happy as he was being an old grump .We didn't make it late though as it was a long way. The bride looked lovely and it all went of well.
Hope you are all Ok ...see you later .
well my pottering got stopped when my back suddenly started to spasm...I have taken some painkillers and antispasmodic and am resting. Only the bathrooms to titivate and Sis's bed to make so plenty of time, she arrives tuesday evening.
Shaney i am glad you made it to the knees up....and wasn't the weather kind?
ooh, s'warm here...please note, I am not complaining. The birds are loving it, preening and warming their little backs in the sun. They're costing me a fortune in food now I'm the only one feeding them around here. I've been doing a bit of snipping and weeding, tomorrow might be a bit too warm to be in the sun. I'll have drag my padded chaise out of the shed...assuming it hasn't been taken over by a nest of meece.

I'm pleased you had a good day and that you made the knees up after all shaney. Hope the weather was as kind as it was here.
ha, snap woofy - knees up! Take it easy.
we are speaking biddy :-)
