Hi all, {i} cursteys to shaney[i]

Sounds a lovely hotel shaney!

Dont worry about taking fingerprints, my house was covered in the damned things but I have "taken" them all away. am totally shattered but all is clean inc me! so watching a bit of telly!!
Evening all. I have just spent the last half an hour trying to get my post on here which I had written twice. It wouldn't let me sign into my account and all sorts of stuff and I eventually lost both my post attempts. Sooo I'm going to say I'm now back and very tired so I will rewrite my post tomorrow.
Love to all Jude xxxxxxxx
Oight oight all, I should be asleep

Yoohoo Jude ..nice to see you . Where have you been . I want a full report :)
I hope you've got an alibi :)
Oight Oight folks .
Have been up since 4.00am. Coughing and spluttering and feeling like death warmed up!! Never mind it will pass. Have sent you all an email.
Hello Lottie, hope you are feeling better now or maybe have gone back to kip. I am a bit wired this morning so am staying up with a cuppa instead of going back to bed. Thanks for the email, that's a lovely pic, tres posh.
the sun seems to be shinging this morning... must be some sort of trick. Imran haasn't yet sorted out the lighting but having taken up some carpet upstairs (the circuit is very circuitous) he's narrowed it down to one of two lights; he's leaving it for a day so we can report if he's right, then sorting it out finally, we hope, tomorrow. Meanwhile we have no lights in the living room (but lots of lamps plugged in) but the rest of the house is okay.

Osteo comes calling at 11 then we go out to lunch with a lady we met on our Middle East cruise.

Lottie, that's a lovely photo - especially those bread rolls, I love Russian bread.
Утро Лотти, прекрасные фото, как русский парень! (for Lottie).

Good morning the rest of you. Quite nice waking up on my little island again. Mr N very busy working which he doesn't normally do in the summer as it gets too hot.

My car needs a MOT tomorrow but so different from England, We only have one testing place on the island and we have to make an app 3 months in advance, so now I will have to take it through, which is a nightmare, as one has to drive over the inspection pit while a mechanic is underneath looking at the car, I hate it! meanwhile they are shouting at one in a foreign tongue, "put on brakes, press clutch" oh I hate it!

Hi jude, welcome back.

My washing machine is making a dreadful screaming noise so couldn't put it on overnight as it would waken the neighbours, will really have to get a new one!
Morning all and welcome back to Jude! Hope you had a good time.

haha, love it jno ...and thanks for your email, compared with their snow I feel quite tropical now... we're just into double figures. :o/
Thanks for your pic too Lottie, I thought you'd got a very tall meringue for a moment. Hope you feel better soon...I woke up feeling twitchy at 4.30 too, is there something in the air?

Your afternoon tea sounds lovely shaney, my kinda place...it almost sounded like a Poirot setting, were there any mysterious people sitting in the corner? :o)
W/m definitely dead, it fills up, it empties but nothing inbetween, so have done most of it by hand (didn't find that at all funny jno!). FED UP! Sister phoned, they are finding the house too quiet without me, and I want to be a spoilt younger sister, not a responsible wife and mother!! Sweating like the proverbial!!
Just got up again. I tried at about midday but felt very sick and going hot and cold all the time. Don't think much of this Russian bug. Just had some toast and a drink of water. Am huddled up in a very thick winters fleecy robe - coughing and sneezing and running to the loo continuously. Still haven't caught up with all your posts.

Fed up!!!
Hello again Everybiddy this it just a test first,,,
Hoo B****y Hooray!!!
What a palaver that has been. You will all have had a ranting email from me well I'm now here hopefully to tell you about my Breakaway...Sorry about the email please delete and pretend it wasn't from me!!
It's going to be brief you'll be pleased to know. I had a brilliant 8 days. Partly in York and the rest in Berkshire. In york I visited all the usual places of interested, including the Minster and The Railway and Castle Museums. I looked round all the Shops including The Shambles and I ate really well and have put on what feels like a stone. It was the Chinese Restaurants fault. It Was a traditional family run place and as I have never been in one I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the attention.
I was going to be brief wasn't I. Anyway I had a brilliant time there and then when I came home I went down to Berkshire to stay with friend until Sunday.
I really had a change of scene from Derby which I was very pleased about.
I'm going to send this now and do part 2 next.....
While I was in York I had a ride on a Rickshaw (with seat belt) and the Train that goes between the places of interest and talking about mechanical things when I got home I had 3 'mechanica'l problems. My Car £80 repair bill. The microwave I bought on the 1st of June conked out and had to be taken back to Sainsburys and then the swing out corner shelf in one of my kitchen cupboards fell off it's hings so I had to become the maintenance man and screw it back up. Apart from that all's well again here.
I've been to see Maggie and she is making a good recovery from her major operation. The consultant is happy that she will now not require radiotherapy (if that's what it's called) or chemotherapy. They are now finding her somewhere to go to recuperate so that she can prepare to go home. So we are all very pleased for her.

I think I'm going to make it this time so I'm off to watch the football in a bit. Disapppointed today at the tennis. Andy Murray lost in his first game.

I'm pleased Lottie, Neti and Jno that you had good holidays. Sorry to hear you have come back not feeling well Lottie hope you get batter soon.

See yer later 'gater(s) My fingers are now crossed while I pree the submit key :)
No Lottie I don't mean Battered just get better!! :)
glad you got through at last Jude - that sounds like a lovely holiday. Rickshaws, eh, are they just to run you between Chinese restaurants?
Hi Jno It was the only rickshaw in York. This young man ran fom the Minster to the Railway Museum or wherever you wanted to go, he even did a guided tour of the city if you wanted. He was really fit. I asked him if he was a student and doing it for extra cash. But it was a business for him and he did it full time.
