Egghead Barry

Did anyone notice that Egghead Barry (he of the inane grin) was one of the challengers on tonight's programme. Presumably he was invited to join the eggheads at some later date?

He wasn't invited, he won a special series - are you sure it wasn't an early round of this you saw ?

The series currently being repeated is several years old. Barry's first appearance was a captain of a team made up of AQA researchers.

I'm not sure canary, it seemed just like any other night. His team lost and there was no mention of anything at the end. I know they are being shown on BBC2 all in random date order at the moment.

Yes,you are right.Have just watched the recording and lo and behold,there he was.When his eyes start wandering,he looks quite furtive.Probably a very nice bloke though.
